Description : Treat your breast prosthesis like your own body. After use, it is sufficient if you hand wash and rinse with clear water, then dry with a soft cloth. The use of body lotions, powder and individual skin scretions can produce a film on the inside of the prosthesis. We therefore recommend that you clean the prosthesis from time to time with a facial cleanser containing alcohol or a surgical disinfectant: but, only when necessary and very carefully. Usually, water and a bit of soap are more than sufficient. When removing the prosthesis, skin particles usually remain on the prosthesis which must be removed through regular and thorough cleaning. The possible use of adhesive strips could result in adhesive material adhering to the prosthesis which can then be easily removed with a bit of turpentine. Description : Your natural body fat secretions determine the length of time the adhesive will sustain (normally 8 - 10 hours). A long and secure adhesion with the adhesive strips can result if the natural breast is washed beforehand. Tranvestites, cross-dressers, etc. are recommended to shave chest hair before application. Apply one side of the strip to the prosthesis before removing the second protective sheet in order to secure the prosthesis. Handle your breast prostheses with care because sharp and pointy objects such as pins, animal claws, scissors, etc. can ruin your breast prosthesis.
